Recovering deleted records

When records in eCAT are deleted they are never removed from the system for regulatory reasons. Instead they are moved to the Deleted Records section.

As a normal user you can restore only the records you have deleted, as an admin user you can restore the records deleted by all users. The administraton page looks as follows:

You can use the date ranges to filter more accurately, or the paging to find records you wish to restore. You can use the user filter to focus on just a single user's deleted records. Select those records, and then click on "Select a destination record by clicking here and then on a record in the popup that appears." The following popup will be displayed:

Select a destination record and hit "Insert" to insert the destination into the recover page.

Clicking "Recover" will restore the selected records back into the record tree.
